Welcome to our school - "We Care."

More about Abberley Primary School

We have close links with the local community and church and receive visits and help from many quarters, for which we are very gratefull. We use the Village Hall, pictured alongside, for P.E. and indoor sports.
We are an ECO School with the prestigious Gold Award which entitles us to fly the Green Flag
At the time of writing we have 88 children on roll. They are taught in four classes. Reception and Year 1 pupils are in Class One with Mrs Townsend. Year 2 and 3 are in Class Two with Mrs Campbell, Year 4 and 5 are in Class Three with Mrs Sprenkel. Year 6 are in Class 4 with Miss Edwards and Mrs Wylie.
Our SATS results show that mixed aged classes are not detrimental to learning, infact having won a DFES School Achievement Award for the third year running proves this. Our value added from Keystage 1 to Keystage 2 puts us in the top 25% of schools nationally. However, we do believe that children should have fun at school and our children enjoy a wealth of experiences that enrich their learning.
We are a Parochial Church school and have close links to Abberley Church.

We are situated very close to the National Heritage site of Witley Court (see photograph to the right) and the children use the building and grounds for History and Art projects.
Our adventure playground is second to none and provides a wealth of opportunities for outdoor play and stamina challenges. We have the surface rebarked every two years and have health and safety checks annually.
All children have access to the playground at normal playtimes and the reception children have their own allocated time when the big ones are indoors starting work!
